What is ShelfHawk?

ShelfHawk is your always-on competitive desk. You tell it which rival sellers to watch, and it checks their listings twice a day — prices, stock, ads, and customer reviews — then gives you one morning briefing plus alerts, so you never lose a sale to a price move you didn't see. It works for sellers on Shopify, Amazon, eBay, Etsy, and independent stores.

Plans, pricing, and the free trial

Two plans, both starting with a 14-day free trial: - Watch — $39/month: up to 5 competitors, 25 tracked listings, daily price scans, alerts inbox, ad-creative log, review tracking, and the morning briefing email. - Watch + Suggest — $79/month: everything in Watch, plus up to 15 competitors, 75 listings, twice-daily scans, price-suggestion cards, and one-click "apply to my store". A card is required at signup, but you are charged nothing until the trial ends — cancel any time before then from Settings → Billing → Manage billing and you pay $0. Annual billing saves about 20% ($372/yr for Watch, $756/yr for Watch + Suggest). Compared with enterprise tools at $1,800+/month per seat, ShelfHawk is priced flat for independent sellers.

How to start your free trial

1. Click "Subscribe now" (or go to shelfhawk.pro/signup) and create your account. 2. Open Settings (menu → Settings) and find the Billing card. 3. Pick your plan — Watch or Watch + Suggest. 4. On the secure Stripe page, enter your card. You'll see "14 days free" and the exact date billing would start. 5. Done. Cancel any time before the trial ends from the same Billing card and you pay nothing.

How to add a competitor

1. On the desk (the main app page), click "Add competitor". 2. Give the rival a name, pick their marketplace, and paste their storefront URL. 3. Open the competitor's card and add the specific product listings you want tracked. 4. For Shopify-based rivals, paste the product page URL into the "listing URL" field on a product row — ShelfHawk then scans it automatically twice a day for price and stock changes. Your plan sets how many competitors and listings you can track (5/25 on Watch, 15/75 on Watch + Suggest).

Unit cost and margin insights

On any tracked product row, enter what the item costs YOU per unit in the "Your cost $" field. From then on, ShelfHawk turns rival price moves into decisions: the row shows "match ⇒ 34% margin ($10.20/unit)" against the rival's live price, and your morning briefing email says whether matching a new rival price keeps you profitable or puts you underwater. Green = healthy margin, amber = thin (under 15%), red = you'd lose money by matching.

One-click "Apply to my store" (Watch + Suggest)

Push a suggested price straight to your own Shopify store: 1. In Settings → Your store, connect your Shopify store: in your Shopify admin go to Settings → Apps and sales channels → Develop apps → create an app with read_products and write_products scopes, then paste its Admin API access token into ShelfHawk. The token is stored encrypted and never shown again. 2. On a tracked product row, fill in "Your SKU" — the SKU of YOUR matching product in YOUR store. 3. Click "Apply to my store" on the suggestion card. ShelfHawk asks you to confirm, then updates your live store price and shows the before/after. ShelfHawk only ever changes a price when you click and confirm — nothing happens automatically.

The morning briefing email

Every morning, ShelfHawk emails you a digest of the last 24 hours across your tracked rivals: price moves (with your match-margin when you've set unit costs) and stock-outs (your window to win the sale). Quiet nights send nothing — no noise. Turn it on or off in Settings → Daily briefing email, or use the one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom of any briefing.

Review tracking and AI tools

The Reviews page tracks rating velocity per rival product — a slip from 4.5 to 4.3 matters more than raw counts. Open any product to read its recent reviews with an AI summary of themes and risks. Each review also has a "Draft a reply" button: one click writes a warm, professional response you can copy and paste into the marketplace. You always review before posting — ShelfHawk never posts anything on your behalf.

Alerts, rules, and thresholds

The Alerts inbox collects notable rival moves. What counts as "notable" is your price-change threshold — set it in Settings (e.g. 5% means moves of 5%+ get flagged as big). The Rules page lets you record pricing rules per marketplace (like a price floor) so decisions stay consistent. The Ads page logs new rival ad creatives, and Reorder surfaces stock-planning signals.

Managing or cancelling your subscription

Settings → Billing → "Manage billing" opens your secure customer portal where you can update your card, see invoices, switch plans, or cancel. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing at all. Cancel later and your plan runs until the end of the period you've paid for. No cancellation fees, no phone calls, no retention tricks.

Your data and privacy

ShelfHawk only collects publicly available information about the listings you choose to track. Your own data — account, settings, costs, store connection — is never sold, and your Shopify token is stored encrypted.
