Built by operators, for operators.
The daily competitive desk for the indie seller who doesn’t have an analyst team — and doesn’t want to spend the morning proving it.
Mission
We build the daily competitive desk for the seller running a shop alone or with a small team — so the rival move you find out about is a one-email decision, not a four-tab scramble.
Why we built Shelfhawk
Why we built Shelfhawk
Shelfhawk started the way most of our customers' businesses started: one person, two marketplaces, and a spreadsheet that quietly grew into three. By the third pricing war we were losing mornings — pulling tabs at 06:00, comparing numbers across a phone and a laptop, and shipping a counter-move after we'd already lost an hour of margin. The dashboards that were supposed to help were priced for category captains and built for analysts.
We talked to other indie sellers. The pattern was identical every time. Legacy suites sold at four figures a month before a single SKU was monitored. Single-purpose repricers solved one corner of the day and missed the rest. Nobody was bundling rival prices, stock, margin and a clear pricing call into one place an operator could read over coffee. The cheap tool was cheap because it was narrow. The integrated tool was integrated because it was expensive. We wanted the third option.
So we started building it for ourselves first. Checks that ran on a schedule, not dashboards that needed clicking. A daily briefing that read like a memo. Price changes that only ever happen inside guardrails you set, so nothing dangerous happens silently. From the first run it changed what a morning looked like — and the indie sellers we showed it to said the same thing: "this is what I was trying to build with four separate folders and a notebook."
Shelfhawk today is still that desk, with a few more tools attached. Built by an operator, for operators. A flat monthly price per plan. Bundled so you don’t stitch four tools together at 06:00. Small enough that the team behind it has skin in the indie-seller economy we’re serving.
Values
What we believe.
- Checked for you — the dashboard you have to remember to open is the dashboard that already lost you an hour. We run scheduled checks and send a daily briefing, not interfaces that wait to be opened.
- Guardrails you set — auto-pilot is off until you turn it on, never prices below the minimum margin you choose, and every change is logged with the old price, the new price and the reason.
- Fair-fight — our pricing is flat and built for the operator whose margin is the business. Cheap because it’s narrow, expensive because it’s enterprise — we’re neither.
